Beloved by cats, excellent companion plant
Catnip is a member of the mint family. It spreads rapidly and produces lavender flowers. The lemon-mint flavor and fragrance of its leaves make a relaxing tea for humans. Of course, cats love it, too! Using catnip as a companion plant can help deter many pests, including flea beetles.
Lamiaceae Nepeta cataria

Whiteflies
Aleyrodidae family
These tiny sucking insects often congregate in large colonies and are a particular problem in large greenhouses. They weaken plants by removing large quantities of nutrients and can also transmit disease.
Treat whitefly like aphids, by washing them from plants with a strong jet of water and by encouraging predators. Use soap spray or rotenone (as a last resort).
