In spite of the sweet potato's Southern reputation, Georgia Jet is cold tolerant and can be planted successfully even in areas with short growing seasons. Its sweet, moist, mildly fibrous, and bright orange flesh make it a classic sweet potato perfect for baking. Our 2011 highest yielding variety.

Tortoise Beetle

These small (1/4”) brightly colored beetles are sometimes confused with ladybugs. Most species aren’t really pests and even though the Golden Tortoise Beetle feeds on young sweet potato plants, it rarely does enough damage to worry about. It is usually controlled by natural predators.
